Moved the public streetlight portal off mainframe DB2 onto SQL Server and Web APIs.

Highlights

  • The portal lets town officials and police departments view their streetlight inventory, request new lights or upgrades, transfer ownership and report outages.
  • Replaced DB2 stored procedures and queries with Web APIs, for this portal and a revenue-protection application.
  • Updated SSIS ETL programs to use the new Web APIs, and moved a material-recycling app off DB2 z/OS to SQL Server.
  • Ran knowledge-transfer sessions for the support team.
